Esomeprazole is a gastric proton pump inhibitor which acts on active proton pump. Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic & Clarithromycin is an antibiotic of the macrolide family highly effective against a wide variety of aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens.

Indications:
Esotid HP is indicated for the eradication of H. pylori in active chronic gastric, duodenal and gastric ulcers.

Mode of Action:
Esomeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric H+ /K+ -ATPase at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. Amoxicillin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis & Clarithromycin acts by inhibiting microsomal protein synthesis in susceptible organisms mainly by binding to the donor site on the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and preventing translocation to that site.
