Description:
Dobical is a synthetic compound containing Calcium Dobesilate. Dobical® widely used to maintain healthy veins, promotes venous flow and supports circulatory system. It also prevents the progression of diabetic retinopathy & shows antioxidant & anti-inflammatory properties.

Indications:
Haemorrhoidal syndrome Clinical signs of Chronic Venous Insufficiency in the lower limbs (pain, cramps, paresthesia, oedema, heaviness) Varicose Veins, as adjuvant in Superficial Thrombophlebitis Microangiopathies, in particular diabetic retinopathy Glaucoma

Mode of Action:
Dobical® is a venotonic agent and vasculoprotective compound. Dobical® reduces hyperpermeability by synthesizing nitric oxide level & by inhibiting vasoactive action of histamine and bradykinin. It also improves lymphatic drainage & inhibits prostaglandin synthesis. All these effects help in CVI & Varicose veins by relaxing blood vessels & reducing edema, inflammation, heaviness, and pain in the leg. In diabetic retinopathy, it prevents sorbital formation from glucose by preventing the activity of aldose reductase enzyme. Sorbitol accumulation in the cell, damage retinal blood vessels which ultimately leads to blindness. Besides, Dobical® acts as an antioxidant, inhibits platelet aggregation, enhancing the relase of tissue plasminogen activator. These effects help in increasing erythrocytes flexibility, reducing blood hyperviscosity & improving blood flow.
